6th grade Girls Pre-Athletics

The goal of pre-athletics is to help the students understand and experience the high expectations it takes to be a part of the Heritage Girls Athletic Program.  The units that we will cover are volleyball, basketball, cross country, track, and strength and conditioning.  All athletes will participate in each unit.  We will go over the basic skills and drills in each sport.

The girls will be required to dress out each day.  We will provide lockers in the locker room for their use.  They are required to provide a master lock combination lock to keep their equipment secure each day.
Please follow these guidelines:
Athletic t-shirt with sleeves.  No tank tops.
Shorts with at least a 5” inseam for inside sports.
Sweat pants or joggers for units that we do outside when the weather gets cold.
We ask that the girls do not wear tights or leggings.
A good cross-trainer or court shoe is highly preferred.
Hair must me put up during class.
No jewelry is allowed during class and must be put in their backpack or locked in their locker.

Please make sure that they carry enough water to get them through the entire school day.  We have pre-ath towards the end of the day, and they will need water for our class.

It’s going to be a great year!  Please let me know if I can help answer any questions you may have.
