Welcome to a new school year.  My name is Susan Alvey and I am beginning my 20th year of teaching.  This will be my second year at Frenship as well as Heritage.  I am looking forward to this new year and feel the best is yet to come.  I grew up here in Lubbock and I am a proud graduate of Texas Tech University.  I am married and have 2 grown daughters as well as 2 wonderful huskies that are my babies.  

 

My philosophy of teaching can be summed up in this quote by Brian Herbert - "The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill, but the willingness to learn is a choice."  Every day brings choices to our lives, and it is my hope to help guide my students to the best choices.  

 

Every day will not be perfect, but I believe that each day is a new beginning to do better than the day before.

6th period - Honors/GT RLA 7th
