Hi! I am so excited to be teaching your student this year! This is my 23rd year in education (it is crazy to me to write this number!) and my 14th year at Heritage. I love teaching mathematics and hope to cultivate a growth mindset in all my students and a love (or hopefully a like) of math! I am also one of the co-sponsors for NJHS, a coach for Heritage Robotics and coach UIL Mathematics and Calculator.
We have three children who also attend Frenship ISD: a daughter in 12th grade, a son in 9th grade and our last son is in 5th grade. We seem to be going from one activity to the next and enjoy watching our children in all their activities. We also have two dogs: a Labradoodle and a Cairn Terrier. I refer to them as our "odd couple," but they get along great!
I have a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Sciences with a minor in Mathematics from Texas Tech University (2002) and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University (2009).
On the weekend you will usually find my husband and I watching Texas Tech sports and cheering on our kids in all of their activities!
