Welcome to 6th Grade
About Me: Hello there! I'm Paige Wood, and I've been passionately since 1995. My journey as an educator has been an exciting adventure, and I'm thrilled to be sharing it with you. With experience spanning so many years,, I've had the privilege of shaping young minds and creating a positive impact on countless students' lives. For the past 20 years, I have also been honored to travel the country training educators in Schoolwide Writing, Critical Reading, and Student Success strategies.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe in fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. My goal is to inspire my 6th-grade students to become lifelong learners, confident problem solvers, and compassionate individuals. Every student has a unique potential waiting to be unlocked, and I'm dedicated to helping them discover it.
Family and Personal Life: Aside from being a devoted teacher, I'm also a proud mother of two wonderful Frenship Tigers. They keep me on my toes and remind me of the joys of learning every day. My husband, a professor at Texas Tech University, and I share a love for education, and our discussions often revolve around the exciting world of teaching and learning.
Thank you for visiting my website. Let's embark on a year filled with growth, discovery, and inspiration together!
Warmly,
Paige Wood

Late Work:
I do not assign homework, (UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY) if your student has a missing assignment then they did not finish the assignment during the given class time. Students will have a window of opportunity to turn in their work, with no points taken off.
STUDENTS CANNOT CORRECT LATE WORK. You are better off turning it in ON TIME, then correcting the assignment, verses turning it in late.
How to Succeed in 6th grade?
–Organize your materials.
–Use an agenda planner each day to keep track of assignments.
- Turn in work on time. Often assignments build on each other, so if you miss an assignment, you might struggle with future assignments.
–Prioritize homework & extracurricular activities.
–Review grades & progress weekly on Skyward.
