Beth Ledbetter

Hello parents and students!

My name is Beth Ledbetter, director of bands at Heritage MS.

I graduated from Texas Tech University and I began teaching band in public school in 2001. While in the Goin' Band From Raiderland, I met my husband who was a trumpet player. After college, he was a coach and science teacher and is now a school administrator. We have 3 children and 2 dogs. My oldest daughter is a clarinet music education major at Texas Tech. My middle daughter loves playing bassoon and will  be in the Goin' Band this year as a freshman. My son is a 6th grader who can't wait to be in beginning band this year and plays soccer as well.

We are a family who loves the outdoors, nature, and traveling. We love hiking and skiing whenever we get a chance and a couple of summers ago we visited 5 national parks where Grand Canyon and Mesa Verde were our favorites. Someday it's my dream to visit all of the national parks.

When I'm not enjoying the outdoors, I play clarinet with the Lubbock Civic Orchestra and occasionally with various churches around Lubbock.

I am ecstatic to work with Mr. Epps, parents, and students this year. I can't wait to meet you in person, learn about you, and make music together.
