Panther Tech Robotics

 

HMS has a highly competitive Robotics program. Each year, we participate in the First Tech Challenge (FTC) and GEAR (Get Excited About Robotics). Students from 6th - 8th grade can participate in these robotics competitions! Each program is highly competitive, so we do require an application for participation. 

 

Robotics is a great program for our district. Students take away a sense of pride and accomplishment with their robots! Programming skills and teamwork skills improve, as well as an opportunity for competition. A lot of skills in robotics are learned through trial and error and tenacity, and we are amazed at our students and their dedication to improve week to week. We love that what the kids start in middle school will carry with them when they join the high school engineering program!
