Heritage Middle School Receives Health Grant

Heritage Middle School has been named a recipient of the 2018 Mayor’s Fitness Council Grant. Heritage was chosen based on their alignment with the Mayor’s Fitness Council’s mission to build a healthier Lubbock community.

Heritage, along with 14 other local organizations, received a portion of the $24,000 raised at last year’s Mayor’s Marathon. Heritage Principal Chelsea Campbell (left), Girls Athletic Coordinator Amber Loyd(right), and Coach Audra Blevins (center) attended a press conference to be congratulated by Mayor Dan Pope.

“After reviewing an extremely impressive group of applications, we could not be more proud to recognize 14 organizations, schools and groups throughout lubbock to receive our first ever funding grants,” said Mayor Pope.
