Heritage Middle School Student Wins Top Award at National PTA Contest

The PTA Reflections contest is nothing new to Heritage Middle Schooler, Nikolus “Indy” Linnenkugel.

This is Indy’s 8th consecutive year to win at the State level for the National Parent Teacher Association Reflections Arts Program and his 3rd time to qualify for Nationals, where he has placed twice before.

This year Indy received the Award of Excellence, the top award in his age division, in Film Production and the second top award, Award of Merit, in Photography.

Only about .01% of students who enter are awarded at the National level. That makes Indy of .005% or a 1 in 20,000 chance for kids to receive two awards.

Indy has received 4 awards at Nationals in the 8 years he’s participated.

Jordan Linnenkugel says, “We’re so grateful for this program and the volunteers who continue to ensure that it’s available to our students each year!”

Congratulations Indy and thank you for continuing to represent Frenship ISD at the National Level!
