Frenship's Director of Communications Receives Top 20 Under 40 Leadership Award

“The Top 20 Under 40 Awards honor those who are movement makers and game changers in the Lubbock community,” said Victoria Whitehead, 2022 Young Professionals of Lubbock Chair and owner Whitehead Law in the press release. “They are not only excelling as businesspeople, they’re community leaders, working parents, and influencers paving the way for Lubbock’s future. It’s truly and honor to highlight these amazing individuals and colleagues, and I can’t wait to watch them continue to shine.”

Taylor joined the Frenship family in 2019 and currently has more than 14 years of experience in the communication industry. In addition to leading the Communications Department, she also serves as the Frenship Foundation for Leadership Executive Director where she helps enhance education across the district through fundraising to providing student scholarships and teacher grants.

From working alongside first responders as the Lubbock Police Department Public Information Officer to traveling overseas as a journalist to tell the stories of soldiers serving our country, Taylor’s impact in the communication field and the organizations she serves is far reaching.

Throughout her career, Taylor has received several national, state, and local awards, including a Lone Star Emmy and National Edward R. Murrow, but she says her greatest honor is getting to serve the community she calls home.

“I feel so honored and humbled to be selected for this award, but I feel even more blessed to be able to serve our Frenship families and our community. Frenship is a special place, rooted in a rich tradition of excellence that empowers students and staff to serve others. My peers and Frenship families push me each and every day to be better and grow as a leader, and I am so thankful to call Frenship home,” said Taylor.

Taylor enjoys serving on various community committees, growing as a leader through programs like Leadership Lubbock, and spending her time volunteering with organizations such as the Lubbock Area United Way and the American Cancer Society.
