During the shutdown in the spring, Frenship was the recipient of a $5,000 donation from Lubbock National Bank. This donation was able to aid in the efforts to serve the Frenship community, particularly through feeding programs. The funds were used to help serve 289,000 meals from mid-March to the end of July.

Lubbock National Bank representatives at the board meeting included Lubbock National Bank’s President, Eddie Shultz and Vice President, Roger Kerr.

Not only did Lubbock National Bank donate to Frenship, but also to many organizations across the Lubbock community. Their donations of over $200,000 helped serve those in immediate need across the South Plains.

United Supermarkets was also honored at the board meeting. The United Family generously donated supplies to help with new pandemic guidance, school supplies, and gift cards.

United donated hand sanitizer for use at the Frenship High School graduation commencement ceremony in June and the staff Convocation event in August, as well as gift cards for school supplies and plastic bags/holders for our campus food efforts.

Representatives of United Supermarkets that attended the board meeting included Chief Executive Officer, Robert Taylor, Chief Operations Officer, Chris James, President, Sidney Hopper, and Nancy Sharp, the Communications and Community Engagement Manager.
