Hey, all!

My name is Heather Wright, and this will be my 11th year here at Heritage Middle School, and my second year teaching 8th grade.

I graduated from Lubbock Christian University, where I met my husband of seventeen years, Jimmy. We have two children, both of whom are Frenship Tigers. My son is a sophomore this year, and my daughter is starting her junior year. We have a miniature schnauzer, Daisy, who loves to eat more than any other dog I have ever met and has NEVER found a food she hasn't devoured immediately.

In my free time I love to spend time with my family, read (mostly psychological thrillers), listen to true crime podcasts, travel, watch movies, work out, or bake. I love learning and growing professionally and am currently working on obtaining my master's degree in school counseling, with the final goal of becoming a licensed professional counselor. 

 

This year I hope to learn from each other, we'll read interesting texts, have lively discussions, and hopefully have some fun along the way as we prepare you for high school.
