Hello Tigers!  My name is Virginia Johnson, though I have gone by "Gin" my whole life. I am thrilled about my position here at HMS this year.  After 15 years in the classroom as a certified teacher, I decided to make a change in order to serve students one-on-one.  I love getting to engage with students where they are, as well as helping each one reach their individual potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Half the battle is won when they believe they can!  

 

I am a Frenship graduate, began my teaching career as a Tiger, and have my own children who are also Tigers and FHS graduates.  As a long time foster and adoptive parent, I am well versed in children of all ages, needs, and backgrounds. I appreciate the culture of success and respect at HMS and look forward to helping your child achieve their goals. It's going to be a great year!
