Hello Panthers!  My name is Gin Johnson, and I am thrilled to be at HMS.  After 15 years in elementary classrooms as a certified teacher, and a couple of recent years serving students one-on-one here at Heritage, I am proud to combine my skills as the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Resource RLA Teacher, Case Manager, and Special Education Specialist here at Heritage. I love getting to engage with students where they are, as well as helping each one reach their individual potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Half the battle is won when they believe they can!  

 

I am a Frenship ISD graduate, began my teaching career as a Tiger, and have children who are FHS graduates as well as a current Memorial Panther!  As a long-time foster and adoptive parent, I am well versed in children of all ages, needs, and backgrounds. I appreciate the culture of respect and success at HMS and look forward to helping your child achieve their goals. It's going to be a great year!
