Simplify the expressions using the distributive property. Follow all of my work and turn in!

so we are going to spend some time practicing distributive property so we have 10 different Expressions that we're going to simplify okay um our first expression that we're going simplify is number one we have -10 * 8x - 10 so what you're going to do if you're going to follow along with me as we work for each one of these you're going to show the work that I am doing on your paper and then when you are finished with your 10 questions after watching this video you will turn it in and then you will begin your partner cavity so to distribute we are going to multiply the negative 10 but both terms inside the parentheses so this is the same thing as saying negative x 8 x + -10 X - 10 paint same exact thing so when we combine those we get a negative DX - 100K are sorry plus 100 my bad so + 100 so that would be an answer choice we have 10 times 2 m + 6 we're going to distribute the 10 + * 2 + 10 * 2m gives me 20 m 10 * positive 6 give me 60 so that is going to be answered Choice fee number 3 we have -6 * x - 7 so we're going to distribute the negative 6 times positive X that gives me and -6x and -6 * -7 gives me a positive 42 so that would be answer Choice C number for we have 9 * 1 + 4x okay remember when we done this on each one of these but remember that you cannot combine the OnePlus 4X together that does not equal 5 x because the one does not have an x on it so they can not become white paint so nine times gives you 9 and 9 * 4X gives you 36x so that would be answered Choice d number we have -3 * 6 * -6 -3 * 6 * -18 + -3 8 * -6 gives me positive 18 so that would be answer Choice the number 6 -8 x 3 -2 multiply -8 by positive 3 in we get -24 in + -8 * -2 gives me positive 60 so this would be answered Choice C number 7 8 x k + 10 plus k so we're going to distribute the 8th first so we have 8K + 80 + 2 K so I can add gather the 8K and the 2K and that gives me 10K + 80 + that is answer Choice be number 9 we have 9XR number 8 we have 9 x - 6 * 1 - 7x okay so let's distribute this and that six to both of these now make sure that you realize you have a negative right here okay so let's go ahead and just write this out to make sure that we understand alright we have a 9x Kay into that we're going to add the results of negative 6 times positive one + -6 * -7x so that's going to give me 9x + -6 which would be the same thing as Fang 6K so want to make sure that you realize that's the same thing and then we have a negative times a negative so that's going to give me positive 42 at now what you have to do is you're going to combine so we're going to combine we're going to come by and then 9x and the 42 x they're both positive so when I add those together I 51 x -6 and that is answer choice number 9 we have five times negative 4 X -5 -9 * 1 - 8x okay so now we got two sets we have to distribute first one we're going to distribute is going to be five times -4x I will give me -20 X 5 * -5 gives me -25 or -25 k then we have a -9 X positive one so that gives me and -9 or -9 + -9 * -8x A+ 72 x now we have two x terms we have -20 X and we have positive 72 x so when I put those together I'm going to end up with 52 x then I have the -25 and the -9 I'm going to put those together and I'm going to get - 34 So my answer should be 52 x - 34 + that have answer toy d number 10 we have 6 * 6 - 2x -10 * x + 1 K again we're going to distribute twice the first time we're going to disturb you 6 / 6 * 6 gives me 36 and 6 * -2X gives me -12x or -12x then we have a negative X positive X gives me a -10x + a -10 times positive one gives me a minus 10 minus and negative of the same age are the same thing alright so we're going to combine are like terms which means we're going to combine our axes we have -12x + -10x we combine those to get -22x then we have positive 36 and -10 so. Combines to give us a positive 26 so I should get -22x + 26 now and I look over here at my answer choices it's actually written where the 26th is first and then the negative 22 can second so that would be answered choice at thank you for listening you're going to turn in this assignment and you were going to start your partner your partner solving of your inequalities and those are the next videos
