Hello, Albright’s Army!
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am excited to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and welcome you to the seventh grade at HMS. This will be my 9th year teaching English at Heritage MS. I am a graduate of Lubbock Christian University with a major in secondary education. In May of 2022, I received my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
English is a subject area that incorporates lesson plans in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and viewing. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year, building upon the skills you mastered last year, and helping you accomplish new challenges in the language arts subject area. I feel that a positive learning experience is built on a collaborative effort among parents, students, and teachers, and I welcome your questions and concerns as the year progresses.
I have high expectations for my seventh-grade students at HMS. One of the biggest is being responsible for your assignments and actions. Becoming a teenager is an amazing life milestone and with growing up, becoming responsible for your actions is a skill that must be learned to become a thriving young adult. You are responsible for completing and turning in each assignment. It is essential that you keep up with classwork, and major projects, and stay up to date on your current grade in Skyward. I will not inform you of your grade in my class daily. I am always happy to work with you to improve your grade!
It is my ultimate goal for each of my seventh-grade students to experience success and foster a love of reading and writing. I am thrilled to work with you over the course of the school year. If questions or concerns should arise, please feel free to email or call anytime.
